Hemming & Hawing

Hemming & Hawing, an applicable title for the phase we are in now. There are a number of things we need to decide on. To take you with us in this process, we are writing this blog. So everyone is aware of the changes that are coming.

One of those changes is Fridays. Until now we rode Routes 2 and 4 on Fridays. However, this Friday (May 27) a market is going to start at the Deliplein on Katendrecht (Rotterdam); the Kaapse Markt. It was quite an application process and two weeks ago we were told that we have been admitted to this market. However, we don't want to miss our regulars on Fridays. Therefore, we have now decided to combine the Friday routes partially with the Tuesday routes.

So now there are 2 routes that we ride on Tuesdays:

Route Capelle aan den IJssel (uneven weeks)
Route Rotterdam (even weeks)

Another decision we took is the Thursday Market in Gouda. Here we stood every Thursday from 8:30 to 13:00. It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately it didn't go well enough. Therefore we had to cancel this market.

We do participate regularly in festivals and markets at GOUDasfalt. Soon there will be another Bio Marckt organized by Marckt! The organization of Bio Marckt wants to organize this monthly, so do show your interest and stop by. We will join them on Sunday June 26 with our beautiful red bus. So if you live in the Gouda area and want to do your shopping without waste, put 26th of June in your agenda.

A third decision that still has to be made, is Stadskwekerij de Kas in Blijdorp.
We definitely notice that this place has potential, which is why we will continue to come here every Wednesday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. for now. The tricky thing about this place is that it is a bit hidden. So you just have to know that we are there. That is why we are going to do more advertising to make sure that people in Blijdorp know about it. Of course word of mouth is best, so tell your neighbors, friends, colleagues. The more people at the bus, the less waste!

This seems like a lot of hemming and hawing, but there are many other things we need to make decisions about. A larger warehouse, possibly a second bus for wholesale orders, perhaps a storefront, etcetera. All kinds of things and then we haven't even mentioned the fact that besides the business developments on a personal level we are also planning our own wedding for the end of July. After that we also have a honeymoon planned for the first two weeks of August! Which means we are closed for 2 weeks.

As you can read, we do keep ourselves busy. If you want to know the exact schedule. Then look at the agenda on the homepage.

Greetings,
Tessa (and Anne)
